Fiestras Patrias Festival and Soccer Tournament

(Lane County, Oregon) -- One of over 40 booth-hosts, Johnson, Clifton, Larson & Schaller, P.C. participated in a crowd-pleasing Fiestras Patrias Festival in mid-September at the Regional Sports Center on 32nd and Main, in Springfield. The Johnson firm also contributed over $700 in soccer scholarships to would-be soccer team players without other resources. The soccer scholarship by Johnson, Clifton, Larson & Schaller, P.C. for the Fiestras Patrias event is one of several community-contribution activities undertaken by the firm throughout the Fall and Winter seasons.
The three-day festival celebrated Mexican Independence Day and was sponsored by KXOR, Lane County's only Spanish radio station, drawing over 20,000 people from all over the area meeting to enjoy a 32-team, 3-day soccer tournament with music concerts, traditional foods and amusement rides and games. General proceeds from the event were donated to The Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
