Four Scholarships Awarded to Graduating Seniors
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
|
On May 30, 2007, Derek Johnson presents Kelly Elizabeth Egan with the Johnson, Johnson, Larson & Schaller P.C. scholarship award honoring her outstanding community citizenship throughout her 3 years at Springfield High School. The Johnson, Johnson, Larson & Schaller P.C. scholarship also went to these local graduates: Brittany Cox of Elmira High; Staci Cotton of Oakridge (Miranda Everts, as alternate); and Alyssa Tirrill of Creswell High. |
(Lane County, Oregon) - Johnson, Johnson, Larson & Schaller, P.C. awarded scholarships to four local high school seniors at graduation awards events throughout May and June. The awards are going to students who have, throughout their high school careers, demonstrated potential as contributing members of society, and who do not have sufficient resources to pursue further education.
Attorneys from the firm awarded the scholarships personally. Derek Johnson, principal of the Eugene-based personal injury law firm, attended Creswell and Elmira High Schools' May awards presentations (see attached photo); a scholarship was also awarded to a graduating senior at Springfield High School. Scott Lucas will be presenting the scholarship award at Oakridge High School on June 9.
"We wanted to give back to the community in a way that goes beyond the legal services we provide to those in need; we targeted smaller, often rural high schools, so that our scholarships supported academic and community efforts that are not otherwise often rewarded," says Johnson.
