Sara received her J.D., with an emphasis on communications law, in 1989 from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. after a successful career in media and marketing. She completed her Bachelors Degree in English Literature, summa cum laude, from U.C.L.A, and spent two years in the PhD program in English Literature and Journalism at U.C. Berkeley.
After interning at the Federal Communications Commission; the U.S. Justice Department, Antitrust Division; National Public Radio and United Broadcasting Companies, Ms. Siegler practiced law in the District of Columbia, San Francisco and Portland at a variety of law firms, as well as on her own, providing services to users and suppliers of media. Her practice has included business transactions for wired and wireless media and utility owners, media and intellectual property strategies and protections for individuals and businesses, computer and high-tech law for companies, programmers and individuals, as well as the provision of business management and development services for diverse professions and industries.
Sara has been a member of the District of Columbia, Colorado, and California state bars and is currently a member of the Oregon State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Lane County Bar Association, and Oregon Women Lawyers. She is admitted to state and federal courts of Oregon.
