Keith Semple joined Johnson, Clifton, Larson, and Schaller P.C. in 2010. Mr. Semple has been actively involved in the workers' compensation system representing the rights of injured workers across the state of Oregon. Mr. Semple has counseled and represented approximately 1,000 injured workers helping them obtain the maximum benefits available under the law.

There is a significant interplay between workers' compensation, health insurance, Medicare, Social Security, unemployment, short term/long term disability, and employment discrimination laws. Mr. Semple has years of experience across these areas which enables him to effectively represent his clients and help them understand the big picture and what it means for in their individual circumstance.

Mr. Semple brings new expertise to our team of established attorneys with generations of experience in complex litigation involving catastrophic injury, products liability, and medical negligence. Our combined experience and resources will ensure that every potential claim is considered and every route to recovery explored.

Mr. Semple attended law school at Arizona State University with a special interest in workers' rights and a desire to represent individuals and help them understand the law. Mr. Semple demonstrated his dedication to public service, earning honors for pro-bono service during law school, and graduated in the top 25% of his class in 2003.

Since 2003, Mr. Semple has been a member of the Oregon State Bar's Workers' Compensation Section and a member of Oregon Workers' Compensation Attorneys (an organization for attorneys representing claimants). He has worked with the other claimant's attorneys in lobbying for changes in the law to improve the lives of injured workers.

Mr. Semple currently serves on the Executive and Rules committees of the Workers' Compensation Section. In the past, Mr. Semple has assisted in planning the annual Workers' Compensation Section Meeting and legal education seminar.

In 2010 Mr. Semple presented Know Your Rights in the Workplace seminars to local workers. In prior years, Mr. Semple has given Workers' Compensation presentations to local attorneys.

Mr. Semple also volunteers his time providing pro-bono legal services at Lane County Legal Aid and mentoring younger attorneys.

In his spare time, Mr. Semple enjoys spending time with his wife (an employment law attorney), two cats, and two collies. He also enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors whether by foot, boat, or skis.
