Derek C. Johnson is a member of the bars of the states of Oregon, Washington, and California.  He has practiced law in Oregon and has been a shareholder in the firm since 1993. Mr. Johnson focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, defective products, truck and motor vehicle collisions, nursing home negligence, environmental torts, and wrongful death.

Mr. Johnson received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1985. He completed his L.L.M. in Marine Affairs at the University of Washington in 1987. He received his Bachelor's Degree in History with honors from Williams College in 1981, and a B.A. in French from the Universite de Poitiers in 1982.

Mr. Johnson currently serves on the Board of Bar Governors for the Oregon State Bar (www.osbar.org).

He has previously served as President of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, Chair of the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board, and Chair of the Oregon Government Ethics Commission.

Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice in the courts of Oregon, Washington, and California, in federal courts of Washington and Oregon, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Johnson is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Lane County Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court.
